MOZAMBIQUE
Anthrologica supported the development of a Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) strategy to inform the design of the Cash for Protection (C4P) programme in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. The strategy was informed by a rapid review of literature and policy documents, alongside a formative qualitative assessment conducted with communities and stakeholders in Montepuez and Chiure. The study used key informant interviews, focus group discussions, participatory workshops, and co-design activities to explore community perspectives, programme realities, and behavioural influences on programme uptake . Grounded in behavioural science, the strategy identified key barriers and enabling factors influencing behaviour change and translated these findings into practical, context-specific SBC activities, implementation pathways, and monitoring and evaluation recommendations. The work helpedsupport adaptive and locally responsive programming in fragile and displacement-affected settings.
