Household nutrition behaviours and practices: formative research to support SBC strategy development

Mozambique

Mozambique

Anthrologica completed a formative assessment to inform the development of a Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) strategy and related activities for the World Food Programme’s Cash for Prevention (C4P) project in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. Building on an initial desk review, Anthrologica collected primary data through key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and participatory workshops. The assessment identified priority behaviours related to food choices, sourcing, purchasing, preparation, consumption, and household decision-making, with a strong focus on gender and intra-household dynamics, to guide the effective implementation of the C4P project.
