Response to Ebola in West Africa

Liberia, Sierra Leone

Liberia, Sierra Leone

After working with UNMEER as the Mission’s in-house anthropologist, Juliet Bedford deployed to Liberia and Sierra Leone with UNICEF to conduct rapid operational research and socio-behavioural analysis to inform their response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.  Working at global, regional and country levels, qualitative research contributed to evidence-based C4D and social mobilisation strategies, assessed and documented community-led innovation and good practices, and supported mechanisms for feedback from affected and at-risk communities.
