Bolivia, Niger, Solomon Islands, Zimbabwe
Anthrologica conducted a qualitative study for UNICEF to assess the acceptability, usability, and feasibility of new ‘user-friendly’ presentations of Amoxicillin dispersible tablets and accompanying job aids developed under the Every Breath Counts campaign. The research was carried out in Bolivia, the Solomon Islands, Zimbabwe and Niger to inform efforts to improve the treatment of childhood pneumonia. Using participatory methods, the study explored caregiver and provider experiences and perceptions. Findings were used to refine the tools and provide evidence for their scalability to support increased demand and correct use of Amoxicillin in low-resource settings.
