Iraq
Anthrologica conducted a mixed-methods study to assess the state of Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) in Iraq, commissioned by the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Building on a rapid literature review, the study generated qualitative and quantitative data related to national actors’ experiences with RCCE planning and implementation during the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine rollout. It also explored how community members perceived their inclusion and participation in RCCE efforts. The findings contributed to strengthening RCCE approaches in Iraq and provided lessons for improving community-centred responses in crisis and conflict-affected settings.
