ZAMBIA
Anthrologica was commissioned to conduct a retrospective qualitative study for UNICEF and Collective Service, with funding from the Rockefeller Foundation, to evaluate how Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) contributed to the 2024 cholera response in Zambia. Using contribution analysis, the study triangulated data from community feedback mechanisms (CFM), rapid qualitative assessments (RQA), and epidemiological data to assess the plausibility of RCCE impact on response outcomes. The analysis identified how RCCE evidence influenced messaging, programming, coordination, and policy decisions. Actionable recommendations were developed to strengthen RCCE systems, data use, and coordination for future epidemic responses.
