Preparedness programming for Ebola in South Sudan

SOUTH SUDAN

SOUTH SUDAN
Anthrologica undertook formative research for the Ebola Preparedness Consortium in South Sudan (Save the Children International, Concern International and Internews), funded by USAID-ODFA.  The qualitative research explored perceptions, attitudes and knowledge of health workers and at-risk communities on Ebola and preparedness mechanisms in border communities with the DRC.  The work also assessed communication and engagement platforms and potential entry points to ensure communities are at the centre of preparedness activities.  The findings were used by the Consortium and other partners to inform risk communication and community engagement approaches as part of Ebola preparedness measures.
